One8 Replicating Applied Learning Instruction Everywhere (RALIE) Cohort Application

Eligibility: Teams from public schools that have active Democratic Knowledge Project, Investigating History, OpenSciEd, PBLWorks, Project Lead The Way, Skew The Script, and/or ST Math programs in the 2026-2027 school year are eligible to apply.

As part of the cohort, schools will be eligible for $2,000 to offset costs related to program implementation and travel to in-person sessions.

Application Instructions
  1. Please review the program website for program details and dates – reach out to Sissela Tucker (stucker@one8.org) with any questions!
  2. Complete one application per school 
  3. You may apply for your first and second choice cohort. All schools will be accepted into their first choice cohort wherever possible. 
  4. Submit the application online by May 19th, 2026 (note, the application can be saved and does not need to be completed in one sitting)

Important Dates
The table below includes the important touchpoints for each cohort:
  • Leveling Up will be a year-long cohort running from October 2026 through the end of the SY26-27 school year
  • Discourse Mapping and What-Why-How will run during fall 2026, with additional follow-up touchpoints as needed 
  • Academic Mentors and Discourse Coherence will run during spring 2027, with additional follow-up touchpoints as needed
Please note: by applying, you are committing to send a consistent team to all cohort dates.
High-level Expectations for Program Participants
  • Commitment to the goal of expanding Applied Learning for all students, including within core courses
  • Attendance at all RALIE events by a consistent 4-person team, including the dates laid out in the application and a follow-up reconvening in the year after cohort completion
  • Completion of all pre-work, reflections, and feedback forms, and administration of all data collection windows including all future follow-up data collections
  • Execution of rollout plan with the intent to scale
  • Desire to collaborate with a set of school teams committed to similar goals of enacting meaningful instructional change, stretching beyond the initial year
  • Willingness to share learnings, successes, and failures with our community
  • Facilitation of visits to your school for the One8 team
